Only when you feel supported and understood will you feel safe enough to explore your feelings and core issues. Because of this, I aim to create a warm and relaxed environment in which you feel accepted, respected, and heard. My approach is conversational, collaborative, and strength-based.
The people I support are working through various challenges including overwhelm, intense emotions, anxiety and depression, and relationship struggles. I'm passionate about what I do and feel privileged to be able to support clients in growing through challenging times.
I earned my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from The University of San Diego and my B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. I’ve had the opportunity to work in private practice settings as well as in treatment programs for various issues. I have advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
My approach to client wellness draws upon a number of theories, and I provide customized therapy in order to best meet your particular needs. I enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples and am joined in the office by Betty the Therapy Dog, a delightful basset hound mix who adds a bit of humor and sweetness to our time together.
